What is Special Education?
Special education is specifically designed instruction, at no cost to the parent or adult student, to meet the unique needs of a student who has a disabling condition.
Services Available
Central Kitsap School District offers a broad range of Special Education Services for students with disabilities, ages birth-21, including:
Identification and Evaluation
Individualized Education Plans
Speech and Language Therapy
Audiological Services
Physical Therapy
Occupational Therapy
Preschool Program
Other services required for eligible students to succeed in school
SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM OPTIONS
Program options in the Central Kitsap School District are based on the individual needs of each student. The locations of these programs may vary from year to year depending on the student population and availability of space. Student services are determined by a multi-disciplinary team who conduct individual evaluations and recommend program options to meet specific needs identified through the evaluation process.

Program
